A devastating fire/blaze/inferno erupted earlier this morning at the landmark/historic site/building, a beautiful/grand/renowned structure that has stood in our community for over century/hundred years/generations. Firefighters arrived on scene to find the building engulfed/consumed/threatened by flames, and have been battling the blaze ever since.
